Local elections: final turnout for the run-offs stands at 52.07%, down 8.4% on the first round

Rome, 8 June (LaPresse) – The final turnout for the run-off elections held to elect mayors in 42 Italian municipalities with over 15,000 inhabitants stood at 52.07%. This was reported by the Ministry of the Interior’s ‘Eligendo’ portal. Compared to the first round, there was a drop of 8.41%. Two weeks ago, in fact, 60.48% of those eligible to vote had turned out for the first round.
