Rome, 9 June (LaPresse) – Regarding the case of Forza Italia Senator Francesco Silvestro, who is under investigation for sexual assault following a complaint by a businesswoman who accuses him of having assaulted her in the Senate offices, President Ignazio La Russa states that “I will tell the Senator-Questors to begin by asking the person concerned for his version of events”. La Russa spoke shortly before meeting with the three Senatorial Quaestors, to whom he will give a mandate to conduct the Senate’s preliminary inquiry into the matter.
