Football, Conceição on Milan's transfer market: "I count on Tomori, I won’t talk about Gimenez"

Turin, Feb. 1 (LaPresse) – "I have already said that, in my opinion, the winter transfer market remains open for too long. It’s not ideal for the players and beyond."
These were the words of AC Milan coach Sérgio Conceição during a press conference on the eve of the derby against Inter.
"In the media, I also read lies about us, which makes managing a group that needs to grow quickly even more complicated. We have plenty of positive energy; we need to be men and try to change things," he added. "Sometimes my supposed nervousness is mistaken for passion—it’s just my personality."

Conceição then commented on individual players:
"Tomori? I count on all my players. My decisions are not influenced by the transfer market. If I believe he should play, he will play."
His statement comes as speculation grows over the English defender’s potential departure, with a return to the Premier League still on the table in the final days of the transfer window.

There is also talk of Álvaro Morata’s exit. "I have spoken with him. That’s how the market works, and it depends on the will of all parties involved," he concluded.

Regarding Santiago Giménez, Conceição remained tight-lipped: "I won’t talk about him because it’s not official yet."
