Skiing, Paris wins downhill in Kvitfjel

Rome, 7 Mar (LaPresse) – Dominik Paris at 35 years old is back to win in the World Cup downhill in Kvitfjell. For the Carabinieri pinnacle of the Carabinieri's Centro Sportivo dell'Arma, it was the fifth victory in his career in the Norwegian resort, the fourth in the downhill on one of the slopes most congenial to the South Tyrolean along with Bormio and Kitzbuehel. Paris, who had not won in the World Cup since December 2023 (when he won the Val Gardena downhill), beat Swiss Marco Odermatt and Stefan Rogentin by 32 and 63 hundredths respectively. Fourth and fifth places were again Swiss with Franjo Von Allmen and Alexis Monney. For Paris it was the 19th victory in the speciality, number 23 in total in the World Cup.
