Lazio, Baroni: "I don't feel disadvantaged, Roma is better but we are determined to beat them"

Rome, April 12 (LaPresse) – "Do I feel disadvantaged? No, if I analyze the last 15 matches, Roma has six more points than Inter and they have the best defense and the best attack. Right now, they are the best of all, but we will be there, ready with determination to beat them." This is what Lazio's coach, Marco Baroni, said on the eve of the derby against Roma.
"Enthusiasm and joy should never be missing in football and in my team. You have to feel the physical pain when you lose matches. But as I told the team, this sport gives you a great opportunity because there’s always another match. We have an extraordinary match to play at home and we will need all our energy to fight like lions," he added.
"Let’s always remember one thing, I have never said something that other coaches always say. When you play so many matches, competing on three fronts as we have until recently, it's clear that energy has to be managed and there are players who are on a growth path. You need to play matches, there’s a physical and mental energy management, and it’s a growth path. Lazio is on this growth path, and we don’t want to give up," he concluded.
