With these words in a post on her social media profiles, Sara Curtis, a promising young Italian swimmer, announced a turning point in her sporting career and beyond. The new Italian record holder in the 50 and 100 metre freestyle will in fact go to study in the United States, where she will also be able to compete in the university circuit alongside athletes of the highest level. ‘I would like to thank my family, friends and coaches for supporting me in this decision.
