Milan, 19 May (LaPresse) – There have been some changes for Italy in the women's world rankings published by the WTA after the conclusion of the WTA 1000 in Rome. Once again, there are three Italian players in the top 100 this week. Jasmine Paolini remains the Italian leader, regaining fourth place thanks to her victory at the Foro Italico (her second in a ‘1000’ tournament and third overall, also repeated in the doubles). The 29-year-old from Bagni di Lucca thus equals her best ranking. Behind her, Lucia Bronzetti moves up four places to 54th, while Elisabetta Cocciaretto moves up one place to 81st. There are several changes in the top ten but no new entries: Aryna Sabalenka remains firmly in the lead ahead of Coco Gauff, with Jessica Pegula back in third place ahead of Paolini.
