Milan, 8 June (LaPresse) – Pescara is the last team to be promoted from Serie C to Serie B. The Abruzzo team defeated Ternana on penalties in the play-off final, thus winning promotion to the second division four years after their last appearance. Goalkeeper Plizzari was decisive, saving three penalties to allow Silvio Baldini's team to celebrate. Ternana had taken a 1-0 lead in the 76th minute thanks to a goal by De Boer, thus levelling the score from the first leg, when the Abruzzo side had won by the same score.
