NBA Finals: Oklahoma beats Indiana in Game 2, series tied

Oklahoma City (Oklahoma, United States), 9 June (LaPresse) – Oklahoma did not falter and beat the Indiana Pacers 123-107 at home, tying the series at 1-1 in the NBA playoff finals. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander put in an MVP performance, scoring 34 points and dishing out eight assists to lead the Thunder to victory. Jalen Williams (19 points) and Chet Holmgren (15) also performed well, skilfully preventing any comeback attempts by their opponents. The Pacers failed in their attempt to win both games one and two in the NBA Finals, as they had done in every playoff game so far. This trend would have seen them equal the Boston Celtics in 1986, the Los Angeles Lakers in 1987, the Chicago Bulls in 1996 and the Golden State Warriors in 2017. All teams that went on to win the NBA title.
