Milan, 10 June (LaPresse) – ‘I believe that it is not just one person who needs to reflect, but the entire system, because when a federal president is elected with 98% of the vote, it is everyone who needs to understand how to contribute to changing something that is not just a change of coach but a change in cultural and behavioural approach.’ This is how the Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi, commented on the difficult moment the national football team is going through. "Then the federal president is hierarchically the most exposed and responsible, while in this case it is only the coach who pays the price. The way in which this separation has taken place is slightly perplexing,‘ he added, ’but beyond the technical assessments, which are not my responsibility, I believe that, in addition to the issue of vision, it is a question of style and behaviour and of knowing how to adapt to international standards." ‘Sometimes people expect a minister to do everything, but I know where I can get to and I also know what I can hope for, which is to recover the things I mentioned that I don't think are there,’ concluded Abodi.
