Milan, June 20 (LaPresse) – Flavio Cobolli’s run came to an end in the quarterfinals of the Terra Wortmann Open, an ATP 500 tournament with a total prize pool of €2,522,220, currently being played on the grass courts of the OWL Arena in Halle, Germany.
The Roman player, ranked No. 24 in the ATP rankings, lost to German Alexander Zverev, the tournament’s No. 2 seed, who won in straight sets 6-4, 7-6 (6).
In the semifinals, Zverev will face Russia’s Daniil Medvedev, ATP No. 11, who defeated American Alex Michelsen 6-4, 6-3.
