Juve case: former company executives seek plea bargain on capital gains

Rome, 27 June (LaPresse) – Several plea bargains ranging from one year and eight months to 11 months have been submitted for a dozen defendants in the trial stemming from the “Prisma” investigation, which has moved from Turin to the capital. Among those involved are prominent figures from Juventus' past management: former president Andrea Agnelli, former vice-president Pavel Nedved, former sporting director Fabio Paratici and Maurizio Arrivabene. For the latter, prosecutor Lorenzo Del Giudice has requested that the case be dismissed, a position that would distinguish him from the other former executives involved. The charges, brought on various grounds, include market manipulation, obstruction of supervision and false invoicing. At the centre of the investigation are alleged fictitious capital gains and illegal transactions related to the management of players' salaries during the Covid-19 emergency, when clubs were facing severe economic pressure. The decision of the preliminary hearing judge, Anna Maria Gavoni, is expected on 22 September. On that date, it will be known whether the plea bargain requests will be accepted or whether the case will go to trial.
