Rome, 29 August (LaPresse) – Italian swimmers Benedetta Pilato and Chiara Tarantino, returning home from a holiday after the World Championships, were detained on 14 August at Singapore airport on charges of theft. This information comes from sources at the Foreign Ministry. Thanks to the timely intervention of our Embassy, the same sources explain, the two Italian nationals were promptly released after a few hours. They then stayed in a hotel until their return to Italy on 20 August.
