Tokyo, Sept. 19 (LaPresse) – Melissa Jefferson-Wooden won the gold medal in the women’s 200 meters at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo. The American ran a time of 21.68 seconds – the best performance of the year – ahead of Britain’s Amy Hunt (22.14) and Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson (22.18).
