Rome, 18 October. (LaPresse) – For the second consecutive year, Jannik Sinner wins the Six Kings Slam title, doing so just like last year by beating his biggest rival, Carlos Alcaraz, in the final. On the hard courts of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the world No. 2 triumphed with a score of 63 64 over the No. 1. In a challenge that does not count towards official head-to-head matches, but which offered the winner a prize of $6 million, the highest amount ever seen in any tennis tournament, including Slams. Of the six wins against Alcaraz, this is only the second for Sinner without losing a set after the semi-final in Beijing in 2023, where he also conceded seven games. Completing the podium of the Saudi tournament, “below” the top two players in the world, is Taylor Fritz (world No. 4), who only needed to win a hard-fought first set in a tie-break against Novak Djokovic (No. 5) before the latter withdrew due to physical problems.
