Rome, 12 Nov. (LaPresse/AP) – The NBA has decided to revolutionise the format of the All-Star Game, which this year will be played between the United States and the Rest of the World. It will be an Italian-style tournament, scheduled for Sunday, 15 February, at the Inuit Dome, the Los Angeles Clippers' stadium in Inglewood, California. The teams will be composed of American and international players. With this new format, the NBA aims to create a more competitive and engaging All-Star experience. There will be three teams composed of at least eight players, and the games will last 12 minutes. Team A will play against Team B in Game 1. The winner will face Team C in Game 2, while the loser will face Team C in Game 3. If all teams are tied at 1-1, the point difference will be decisive. But how will the teams be formed? The NBA's goal – two-thirds American players and one-third foreign players – is to have two teams composed of eight Americans and one composed of international players.
