Basketball: NBA, Doncic leads Lakers with triple-double, OKC unstoppable

A flurry of baskets between Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Lakers, with LeBron James (28 points and 10 assists) and his teammates winning 135-143. Luka Doncic's triple-double of 45 points, 14 assists and 11 rebounds is worth noting. Meanwhile, the Portland Trail Blazers-Sacramento Kings game ended 134-133 after overtime. Deni Avdija shone for the home side with 35 points, while DeMar DeRozan scored 33 for the Kings. The Denver Nuggets also flew high against the Orlando Magic, beating them 126-115 thanks to a triple-double from the usual Nikola Jokic, who scored 23 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds. The Oklahoma City Thunder (25-2) continue their winning streak, beating the Los Angeles Clippers 122-101 thanks to 32 points from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The Miami Heat also enjoyed an away win, beating the Brooklyn Nets 95-106 with 24 points from Norman Powell and 7 from Italy's Simone Fontecchio in 22 minutes. There were also victories for the San Antonio Spurs (119-94 against the Washington Wizards), the Phoenix Suns (99-98 against the Golden State Warriors) and the Charlotte Hornets (133-126 against the Atlanta Hawks). In other games last night, the Indiana Pacers lost to the New York Knicks 113-114, the Toronto Raptors beat the Milwaukee Bucks 105-111, the New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Houston Rockets 133-128, and the Dallas Mavericks beat the Detroit Pistons 116-114.
