Milan, 2 January (LaPresse) – Milan won 0-1 away at Cagliari in the early match of the 18th round of Serie A, the first game of 2026. The victory puts Max Allegri's Rossoneri temporarily alone at the top of the table with 38 points, ahead of Inter-Bologna on Sunday. After two positive results, Pisacane's Cagliari lost, remaining on 18 points but still out of the relegation zone. At the Sardegna Arena, Milan's goal was scored by Rafael Leao in the 50th minute. Of note was the Milan debut of new signing Fullkrug, who came on in the second half to replace the goalscorer. Milan's January fixtures got off to a positive start, with the Rossoneri returning to action on the 8th against Genoa at San Siro. Cagliari's next fixture, meanwhile, is away to Cremonese.
