Milan, 21 Jan. (LaPresse) – Algeria goalkeeper Luca Zidane has been banned for two matches for clashes on the pitch after his team's elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations. The ban by the Confederation of African Football will not apply to the World Cup in June, where Algeria will play Lionel Messi's Argentina. Algerian players and staff were involved in clashes on the pitch after their 2-0 defeat to Nigeria in the quarter-finals on 10 January in Marrakesh, Morocco. Defender Rafik Belghali has been banned for two matches, with two more suspended. The bans will be served in qualifying matches for the next Africa Cup of Nations.
