Cremonese, Nicola: ‘Inter are out of this world, we must surpass ourselves’

Milan, 31 January (LaPresse) – "We are undoubtedly facing a formidable opponent. We are well aware of Inter's ability to play as a team and the resources at their disposal, and we know what kind of match awaits us. What's more, we are going through a difficult period: we will be without Bondo, Payero, Collocolo, Sanabria, Moumbagna and the suspended Barbieri, while Maleh and Djuric will be available." This is how Cremonese coach Davide Nicola spoke at a press conference to preview the league match against Inter. "But, as I tell the lads, it's at times like these that you build the winning mentality to achieve your goal. I've never achieved one without overcoming difficulties or getting my hands dirty. Right now, Inter represent an opportunity to raise our level of focus and aggression, as well as playing an important game in terms of organisation. Our opponents demand it of us,‘ he added. Cremonese have been very active in the transfer market with the arrivals of Maleh and Djuric. ’In this transfer window, I asked for certain characteristics above all else, and it's even better that players I know have arrived. We'll have to finalise our ideas, but fortunately there are only two days left and then we won't talk about it anymore. Maleh is a dynamic left midfielder,‘ he added. ’Right now, we need alternatives because having two players for each position allows us to choose and give someone a rest, something we haven't been able to do much lately. But we're not worried because we believe that with organisation, desire and the ability to overcome difficulties, we can achieve what we want."
