Bormio (Sondrio), 11 February (LaPresse) – After winning gold in the downhill and combined events, Switzerland's Franjo Von Allmen also clinched the Olympic title in the Super-G, equalling Toni Sailer (1956) and Jean Claude Killy (1968) by winning the third highest podium in alpine skiing in the same edition. Silver went to American Ryan Cochran-Siegle, with Swiss Marco Odermatt in third place, who leads the World Cup in downhill and Super-G but is still chasing the most precious metal at these Games. The Italians missed out on the podium. Giovanni Franzoni finished sixth, Christof Innerhofer (silver and bronze in downhill and combined at Sochi 2014) did not make it into the top ten, and Mattia Casse finished well behind, more than 2" behind von Allmen. Dominik Paris was unlucky, losing a ski after just a few gates.
