Milano-Cortina, women’s curling: Italy beats Japan but misses out on semifinals

Cortina d'Ampezzo (Belluno), Feb. 17 (LaPresse) – Italy secured a second consecutive victory in the women’s curling tournament at the Milano-Cortina Games. The team of Stefania Constantini, Marta Lo Deserto, Elena Antonia Mathis, and Giulia Zardini Lacedelli defeated Japan 8-6 in the seventh round-robin match. Despite the win, the Italian team is mathematically out of contention for the semifinals. Italy will return to the ice tomorrow at 19:05 against Canada.
