Cortina d'Ampezzo (Belluno), 18 February (LaPresse) – Mikaela Shiffrin won the women's slalom at the Milan-Cortina Games. After dominating the first run, the American champion also achieved the second-best time in the second run, finishing in 1'39"10 and leaving all her rivals far behind. Switzerland's Camille Rast, silver medallist, finished one and a half seconds behind. Bronze went to Sweden's Anna Swenn Larsson, 1.71 seconds behind. Both Germany's Lena Duerr, who straddled the first gate after a couple of seconds, and Sweden's Cornelia Oehlund, who had finished the first run in second and third place respectively, were out. The Italians finished outside the top ten: Martina Peterlini came thirteenth, the same time as Lara Della Mea. Seventeen-year-old Anna Trocker did not complete the first run.
