Rome, 12 March (LaPresse) – The first leg of the Europa League round of 16 between Bologna and Roma ended 1-1. The Rossoblù were the better side for most of the match, but the Giallorossi fought back and are now preparing to face the second leg at home on 19 March. Bologna took the lead in the 50th minute: Rowe caused panic in the Roma defence and created space to set up Bernardeschi, who beat Svilar with a great curling shot. In their most difficult phase, Gasperini's boys found the equaliser thanks to a costly defensive error by Joao Mario in the 71st minute. Cristante stole the ball and served Malen, who sent Skorupski the wrong way and touched it to Pellegrini (who had come on for El Aynaoui), who scored into an empty net.
