Milan, 13 March (LaPresse) – Medals are pouring in for Italy at the Milan-Cortina Winter Paralympics. On another unforgettable day for the Italian team, Rene De Silvestro won the gold medal in the Sitting Giant Slalom with a total time of 2'10‘44. Silver went to the Dutchman Niels De Langen, +0.57’ behind, and bronze to the Norwegian Jasper Pedersen, +4"15 behind. For Italy, this is the sixth gold medal at this edition of the Paralympic Games, an all-time record. The number of podium finishes – 14 – is also a record, beating the previous best of 13 set at the 1994 Lillehammer Paralympic Games.
