F1, Leclerc: ‘I always seem to be missing something in China; tomorrow, the aim is to win’

Rome, 14 March (LaPresse) – ‘I’m not very happy, even though I’m terrible on this track. It’s not that I don’t try; I’ve tried over the years, but when it comes to qualifying, I always seem to be missing something on this track.’ So said Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc to Sky Sport after finishing fourth in qualifying for the Chinese Grand Prix. ‘The good thing is that we’re not too far off, and with these cars, starting fourth or second doesn’t make much difference,’ he explained. ‘I still need to get to grips with this car in qualifying; it’s better to stay within the limits and do the same thing every time than to make it into Q3 and try something different. I’m disappointed about this because it’s always been my strength, but you adapt. In the race, we can compete with Mercedes. Winning? That’s the aim.’
