F1, Kimi Antonelli: ‘Success won’t change me; I’ll stay true to myself’

Rome, 19 March (LaPresse) – “I’ll always try to stay true to myself; that’s just who I am. I couldn’t see myself as a different person, and I have no intention of changing, regardless of the success I’ve had or hope to have in the future. Kimi is the person I am and to whom I would like to remain connected for life.” So said driver Kimi Antonelli on ‘Tutti convocati’ on Radio 24. “Tagliatelle or Gramigna? Both, but after China I treated myself to a nice plate of gramigna and really enjoyed it,” added the Italian Mercedes driver. “Certainly this year, the use of the battery can make all the difference, whether you’re defending or attacking; ultimately, the fundamentals you pick up from your karting days stay with you throughout your career. How to battle it out, how to defend yourself, how to plan an overtaking manoeuvre – even if the car is different, the basics remain the same. With the battery, you have to be very open-minded; you almost have to be a maverick in your thinking. The battery can make a difference; you can even overtake in places where you wouldn’t think it possible,” added Antonelli.
