Football, Messi scores his 900th career goal

Fort Lauderdale (Florida), Mar. 19 (LaPresse) – Lionel Messi reached another milestone, scoring his 900th career goal in the opening minutes of the Concacaf Champions Cup round of 16 match between Inter Miami and Nashville. The Argentine scored with his left foot, as in most of the goals he has scored in his career with club and country. In the 7th minute, the 'Flea' received a pass in the center of the area, controlled the ball, turned, and struck a low shot that passed two defenders and ended in the far corner of the goal. The only other male player with more than 900 career goals is Cristiano Ronaldo, who took about 100 more matches than Messi to reach the milestone.
