Turin, 29 Mar. (LaPresse) – Aprilia secured a one-two finish in the Grand Prix of the Americas, part of the MotoGP class. Marco Bezzecchi, who led from the first to the last lap, triumphed ahead of his team-mate Jorge Martin. With this victory, his third in a row following wins in Thailand and Brazil, the Italian rider regains the lead in the world championship standings. Pedro Acosta’s KTM completes the podium. Fourth place went to Fabio Di Giannantonio, the best of the Ducatis with the VR46 team, just ahead of Marc Marquez’s factory Ducati, who was forced to fight his way back from the rear of the field after serving a long-lap penalty for the crash he caused yesterday in the sprint race. Also in the top ten were Enea Bastianini, sixth on the other factory KTM, and Pecco Bagnaia, who dropped to tenth place in the closing stages after spending much of the race just off the podium. Finally, ninth place went to Luca Marini’s Honda.
