ATP Monte Carlo: Berrettini through to the last 16, Medvedev thrashed 6-0, 6-0

Milan, 8 April (LaPresse) – An outstanding Matteo Berrettini has reached the last 16 of the “Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters”, the third “1000” tournament of the season, with a prize fund of €6,309,095, currently being played on the clay courts of the Monte-Carlo Country Club in the Principality of Monaco. The Roman tennis player, who has slipped to number 90 in the world rankings, soundly defeated the world number 10, Russia’s Daniil Medvedev, with a resounding 6-0, 6-0 victory in just 51 minutes of play. In the next round, Berrettini will face the winner of the match between Brazil’s Joao Fonseca and France’s Arthur Rinderknech.
