Barcelona (Spain), 23 Apr. (LaPresse) – Lamine Yamal will miss the rest of Barcelona's season but is expected to recover in time to participate in this summer's World Cup with the Spanish national team. The 18-year-old striker, who was injured while kicking a penalty during yesterday's match against Celta Vigo, will not play his final six La Liga matches but will undergo "conservative treatment" on his left leg to qualify for the World Cup. "Doctors expect Yamal to be available for the World Cup," the Catalan club said in a statement. Spain will make their World Cup debut on June 15 in Atlanta against Cape Verde.
