Rome, 16 May (LaPresse) – Spanish rider Pedro Acosta has secured pole position for the Catalan Grand Prix, the sixth round of the MotoGP World Championship. The KTM rider finished qualifying in 1'38"068, ahead of Franco Morbidelli (Ducati VR46) and Alex Márquez (Ducati Gresini). World Championship leader Marco Bezzecchi, riding an Aprilia, crashed and will start from 12th on the grid, ahead of Pecco Bagnaia’s Ducati. Jorge Martin’s other Aprilia set the ninth-fastest time.
