Alain Prost was mugged at his home in Nyon, Switzerland; he sustained minor head injuries

Milan, 23 May (LaPresse) – Alain Prost, four-time Formula 1 champion, and his family were the victims of a robbery at his villa in Nyon, near Geneva. This was reported by the Swiss newspaper Blick, which states that the 71-year-old former French driver was injured on the head by the attackers, whilst one of his sons was forced to lead the criminals to the safe. According to Blick, the robbery took place on Tuesday morning and Prost, despite suffering a minor injury, has reportedly already returned to Dubai. ‘Although Alain Prost’s physical injuries are minor, the psychological trauma is profound,’ writes Blick. In the hours following the attack, local police launched a major search operation, deploying patrols, a dog unit and support from the French authorities, but so far without success. According to Blick, the focus is on the possibility of a cross-border escape.
