Rome, January 17 (LaPresse) – The Italian victim of the road accident in Cuba, which involved a group of seven Italian tourists near the town of Aguada de Pasajeros, is Patrizia Crisolini Malatesta, a 67-year-old Roman and coordinator of the trip for the tour operator Avventure nel Mondo.
"She was very well-known, active, and well-liked, and had been collaborating with us for 20 years," Avventure nel Mondo told LaPresse, adding that the other fatality was the Cuban driver, while two Italians underwent surgery and are now out of danger.
"We immediately activated all contacts and are in touch with the embassy. The dynamics of the accident are not yet clear. What we know is that the bus collided with a truck, hit a guardrail, and went off the road on the highway near Aguada de Pasajeros," explained representatives from Avventure nel Mondo.
