Madrid (Spain), January 21 (LaPresse) – At least one person has died and another was injured following the explosion of a tank containing a highly flammable substance at the Port of Barcelona, according to Catalan Civil Protection. Eleven firefighting teams are working at the scene. The fire has been extinguished.
The Barcelona City Council has activated its emergency plan for the port. Civil Protection reported that the explosion occurred during maintenance work at Terminales Portuarias, SL (Tepsa), at the Energy Pier.
