This was said by AfD leader and chancellor candidate Alice Weidel at a press conference after the results of the federal elections that saw the German ultra-right party confirm itself as the second political force in Germany behind the Cdu-Csu. Weidel emphasised that the AfD represents the future ‘especially among young people, who voted for the party en masse’. AfD co-leader Tino Chrupalla announced ‘strong opposition work’.
