Gaza, Rubio: ‘Let Hamas take Trump's words seriously’

Milan, 6 Mar (LaPresse) – ‘I am glad he made these statements. He doesn't say these things and then not really mean them, as people are finding out all over the world. If he says he will do something, he will do it. So they better take him seriously.’ US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said this when interviewed by Fox News, referring to President Donald Trump's message to Hamas. ‘We hope they do exactly what he just said. You know how long we've waited in this country to have leadership with that kind of clarity. People don't realise that the President meets with these people, hears their stories, he's outraged and rightly so, he's tired of seeing every weekend these videos where emaciated hostages are released and bodies are handed back and sometimes it's the wrong bodies and these five here and three there and these games being played. And he lost his patience. He was very clear about this from the beginning. He has created space and time to sort it out. And now it is time to see the end of it. Enough is enough. These people have been in captivity for over a year and a half,' Rubio said. 'They are monsters. It has to end. And I wish there was more international pressure to do so,' he added.
