Milan, April 6 (LaPresse) – For the first time the conservative Cdu/Csu bloc and the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party are on a par at 24%. This is the result of the Insa-Sonntagstrend poll commissioned by Bild. Bild itself reports this, pointing out that the news breaks in the negotiations between the Chancellor Friedrich Merz's incoming Chancellor's CHD and the SPD for the formation of a government coalition. ‘The AfD is now on a par with the Union in the polls! The citizens do not want another left-wing government in which the Cdu/Csu lets the Spd and Greens dictate policy. It is time for a real change in citizen politics,' Alternative für Deutschland leader Alice Weidel commented on X.
