Rome, 17 April (LaPresse) – The Gaza Strip civil defence reported that 16 Palestinians, mostly women and children, were killed in an Israeli airstrike against tents housing displaced people in the Al-Mawasi area, west of the city of Khan Younis, in the south of the Gaza Strip. This was reported by Arab media including Al Jazeera. According to the civil defence, two missiles were fired at the tent city and at least 23 other people were injured. The attack took place in an area considered ‘safe’, the Gaza authorities said.
