Vance on Instagram, posting a photo of the meeting with the Prime Minister. ‘It was an honour to visit the Vatican during Holy Week and a blessing to be able to experience the beauty and veneration of the Good Friday liturgy in St. Peter's Basilica,’ added Vance, who had a brief private meeting with Pope Francis at Santa Marta on Sunday morning. The Pontiff gave three Easter eggs to his daughters. A Vatican tie and rosaries were also donated by Bergoglio. ‘I know you are not feeling well, but it is good to see you healthy,’ said Vance, “thank you for receiving me”. After the meeting with the Holy Father, Vance joined his family for Easter Mass in the Papal Basilica of St Paul Outside the Walls. The Vances visited the tomb of the Apostle St Paul.
