Ukraine, Easter truce ends: 3 missiles and 96 drones launched overnight

Rome, April 21 (LaPresse) – During the night, following the expiration of the fragile "Easter truce," Russian forces struck Ukrainian territory with 3 missiles and 96 drones, according to a report from the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Air Force on its Telegram channel. The Kherson region was hit by an Onyx anti-ship cruise missile launched from Crimea, while the Mykolaiv region was targeted with two Kh-31P anti-radar missiles from airspace over the Black Sea. Forty-two drones were shot down across the country, while 47 caused no significant damage. The Easter truce, announced by Russia from 6 p.m. (Moscow time) on April 19 to midnight, has expired. As Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Tass, Russian President Vladimir Putin has not ordered its extension.
