USA, Mangione Pleads Not Guilty to Brian Thompson Murder

Washington (USA), April 26 (LaPresse) – Luigi Mangione has pleaded not guilty to the federal charge of murder in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York, while prosecutors have formally stated their intention to seek the death penalty against him. This emerged during the preliminary hearing for the 26-year-old before U.S. District Judge Margaret Garnett at the federal courthouse in Manhattan. Also present in the audience was former Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning, who served about seven years in prison for stealing classified diplomatic cables, later published by Wikileaks.
