Yemen, UK military launches airstrikes against Houthi rebels

Dubai (UAE), May 1 (LaPresse) – The British military has launched airstrikes alongside the United States against Houthi rebels in Yemen. This marks the first attack in Washington’s new intensified campaign against the Iran-backed group. The UK provided a detailed explanation for the launch of the attack, named "Operation Rough Rider." The UK Ministry of Defence described the target as "a group of buildings used by the Houthis to manufacture drones similar to those used to attack ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, located about 25 kilometers south of Sanaa."
