Rome, 3 May (LaPresse) – ‘We are ready to move to a ceasefire as soon as possible, even starting today, if Russia is ready to do the same. A prolonged silence for at least 30 days is a fair period of time in which we can prepare the next steps. Russia must stop the war, stop the attacks, stop the bombings.’ This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymy Zelensky in a post published on his Telegram channel. Zelensky then announced: ‘We are preparing our sanctions packages, in particular against entities in third countries that are unfortunately helping Russia to circumvent some sanctions. And we continue to strengthen our defence: we expect significant defence packages for Ukraine soon and decisions on further cooperation, both during the war with key countries and after the war. We are laying a solid foundation for reconstruction.’
