Tariffs, Vance: "Europeans should remove trade barriers for U.S. products"

Washington (USA), May 7 (LaPresse) – The U.S. "wants the whole world to be a bit more open to products made by Americans; we believe they're the best in the world." This was stated by Vice President JD Vance, speaking in Washington at a Munich Security Conference event.

"We think we could have much better trade relations with many of our European friends if we just removed some of those trade barriers, both tariff and non-tariff," he added.

"The United States and Europe are on the same side," Vance concluded, "but that doesn't mean our two continents won't have disagreements from time to time."
