Ukraine, Trump: ‘Sanctions against Moscow if no agreement is reached’

Rome, 17 May (LaPresse) – US President Donald Trump said he still believes Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to reach an agreement to end the war in Ukraine, but warned that if negotiations fail, his administration will proceed with sanctions against Moscow. ‘Honestly, I will, if we don't reach an agreement,’ Trump said in an interview with Fox News' Bret Baier. ‘It's the moment of truth, we're talking straight, and we'll see what happens. It would be devastating for Russia because it's going through a difficult period with the economy and low oil prices,’ the tycoon added.
