Trump-Ramaphosa clash over “genocide” of white people

Washington (USA), 21 May (LaPresse) – Friction, albeit in a calm tone, between Donald Trump and Cyril Ramaphosa over the issue of alleged persecution of white farmers in South Africa. ‘There is no genocide,’ assured the South African leader. ‘We have heard thousands of stories’ and ‘a response is needed,’ replied the US president. Trump then asked for the lights in the Oval Office to be dimmed and showed Ramaphosa and the South African delegation a series of television images allegedly documenting incitement to violence against the white minority. ‘White South Africans are fleeing because of violence and racist laws,’ Trump said.
