Israel has attacked Iranian nuclear facilities in various parts of the country. This has been confirmed by the IDF. The ongoing operation is called “Nation of Lions”. Dozens of targets linked to Iran's nuclear programme have been hit in the operation. The ongoing attack on Iranian nuclear facilities will not end today.
The commander-in-chief of the Revolutionary Guards, General Hossein Salami, was killed in the Israeli attack. Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said Israel would face “severe punishment” for the attack on the country. Khamenei issued a statement, released by the state news agency Irna, confirming that senior military officers and scientists were killed in the attack. Israel ‘has opened its evil and bloody hand to a crime in our beloved country, revealing its evil nature more than ever by striking residential centres,’ he said.
