Ukraine, Zelensky: ‘15 dead and 75 wounded in Russian raid on Kiev, pure terrorism’

Milan, June 17 (LaPresse) – The toll from the massive Russian missile and drone attack on Kyiv overnight is 15 confirmed dead and 75 injured in Ukraine. This was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who described these attacks as "pure terrorism."

Earlier, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko had reported 55 casualties, including both dead and injured.

"Over 440 drones and 32 missiles were used. Kyiv suffered one of the most terrible attacks. In addition, during the night, the regions of Odessa, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, and Kyiv were attacked," Zelensky said on X, adding that "rescue operations are currently underway in Kyiv to extract people from the rubble of a residential building" and that "it is still unclear how many people remain trapped." Rescuers are working at all the affected sites.

"These attacks are pure terrorism. The entire world, the United States, and Europe must finally react as a civilized society reacts to terrorists," Zelensky stated.
