Dubai (United Arab Emirates), June 25 (LaPresse) – The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baghaei, confirmed that the country’s nuclear facilities were “severely damaged” by the American raids over the weekend. Speaking to Al Jazeera, Baghaei declined to provide details but admitted that Sunday’s B-2 American bomber raids with bunker-buster bombs were significant. “Our nuclear facilities have been severely damaged, that is certain,” he said. Speaking to Al Jazeera, Baghaei also confirmed that the Iranian parliament voted to suspend, but not end, cooperation with the United Nations nuclear watchdog, the IAEA. The law “speaks of suspension, not ending cooperation,” Baghaei explained. “I think it is natural for representatives of a nation that has suffered such a serious aggression to reconsider how they have interacted with the IAEA.”
